A CELEBRATION COOKIE WOULD BE PROUD OF

Our Daily Bread’s doors opened January 26, 1985 and served 10 people that first day.  By the end of 1985, our founder Cookie and her team were serving over 100 people a day.  All who came were guests and were treated with respect and dignity.

35 years later Cookie’s legacy endures as Cincinnati’s largest soup kitchen continues to provide hot, home-cooked meals each weekday. 

To celebrate we are hosting a birthday party with our guests Monday January 27th from 9:30AM-Noon. Chef Garland is preparing a special meal of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans and apple juice, while some of our amazing volunteers are providing corn bread muffins and cookies and cocoa for desert. There will be party hats and music provided by local musician John Ford. All are welcome, stop by for a treat or just to say happy birthday!

at Our Daily Bread 

Chefs Kayla Robison (Arnold's) and Bhumin Desai (Thunderdome) battle it out in a “chopped” style competition in front of a live audience. Chefs have 30 minutes to make a dish using only rescued food. Emceed by Bob Herzog (Local 12) and judged by a celebrity panel.

Chefs from the hottest restaurants in Over-the-Rhine transform rescued food into “by-the-bite” creations. Chefs receive a mystery ingredient from a food sponsor in advance and throw-down to create a unique dish. GA ticket holders enjoy the Live Chef Battle on a big screen live-streamed from Our Daily Bread to Rhinegeist.
